Plan a 10-day Nepal tour with a local Kathmandu team — the full Kathmandu-Nagarkot-Chitwan-Lumbini-Pokhara circuit, or a slower version with fewer stops and real depth at each.

A 10-day Nepal tour is most often sold as one fixed circuit: Kathmandu, Nagarkot, Chitwan, Lumbini, and Pokhara, back to back. It's a genuinely comprehensive route — but five destinations in ten days also means frequent 1-night stops and near-daily transfers, which isn't the right trip for everyone. We build both versions: the full circuit for travelers who want to see as much of Nepal as possible, and a slower alternative covering fewer places in real depth, for travelers who'd rather not spend half their trip packing and unpacking.
The most comprehensive 10-day route, covering Nepal's cultural, religious, wildlife, and mountain-view highlights in one trip. Best if seeing as much of Nepal as possible matters more to you than a relaxed pace.
Three destinations instead of five, with 2–3 nights at each rather than one. Best if you'd rather properly experience fewer places than checklist your way through more.
Swaps the wildlife and pilgrimage legs for a 4–5 day teahouse trek to Ghorepani and Poon Hill. Best for travelers who want genuine time walking in the Himalayas within a 10-day frame.
Weights the trip toward religious sites, adding a mountain flight to Muktinath alongside Lumbini. Best for travelers with a specific pilgrimage focus.
Trip Facts:
Culture, wildlife, pilgrimage, and mountain views in one comprehensive route. Below is the full day-by-day plan — if this pace looks like more transferring than you want, see the Slower Version below instead.
If the full circuit above looks like more hotel-hopping than you want, this is the alternative: Kathmandu (3 nights), Pokhara (4 nights), and Chitwan (2 nights) — the same total trip length, with real time to settle into each place rather than a transfer every day or two.

Kathmandu sightseeing, then a 4–5 day Ghorepani–Poon Hill teahouse trek from Pokhara — a genuine Annapurna sunrise from the trail itself, not just a viewpoint drive.

Kathmandu, Lumbini, and a mountain flight to Muktinath from Pokhara — for travelers whose trip is built around religious significance first.
View Full Itinerary →Most of the following can be added to any 10-day route without extending your total trip length:
September–November and March–May offer the clearest mountain views across every stop on the circuit. Winter (December–February) works well for Kathmandu, Chitwan, and Lumbini; monsoon (June–August) is workable for cultural sightseeing but reduces visibility for Nagarkot and Sarangkot sunrises.
If this is your first trip to Nepal and you're unsure when you'll return, the full circuit makes sense — you'll see the country's major highlights in one visit. If you've been before, or if a rushed pace genuinely bothers you more than missing a destination, the slower version is very likely the better trip, even though it "sees less" on paper.
"Almost booked the full 5-stop circuit and then realized we'd be changing hotels every night or two. Went with the slower version instead — best decision, we actually got to relax in Pokhara instead of just passing through."

"Did the full circuit since it was our first time in Nepal and we didn't know when we'd be back. It was a lot of moving around but we saw everything we wanted."
— Sarah Jenkins, Canada · Full Circuit
Depends on your pace preference. The full circuit (Kathmandu, Nagarkot, Chitwan, Lumbini, Pokhara) sees the most in one trip but involves frequent transfers. A slower version covering 3 destinations in more depth suits travelers who'd rather not hotel-hop daily.
Yes, for either a comprehensive first-time overview or a deeper, slower visit to fewer places — but not for both at once. Decide which matters more before choosing your route.
Yes — a 4–5 day Ghorepani–Poon Hill trek fits well alongside a few days of Kathmandu and Pokhara sightseeing. A full Everest Base Camp or Annapurna Circuit trek does not fit within 10 days alongside anything else.
Rafting, paragliding, a Manakamana cable car stop, and mountain flights can generally be worked into existing travel days on any 10-day route without adding extra nights.
Yes — every route above is a starting point. Combine elements from different versions, add a destination, or adjust the pace to build your own.
